Saturday Night’s performance of “This Is My Last Chance To Catch A Breath”
Dear friends,
We’re sorry for the confusion these past few months about the name change and we’re writing this to clear things up. Rumor has it that we’re changing our name to the Dragon Fishermen, this is not true (Sorry to the few who thought it sounded badass). We’re hereby now and forever going to be known as waking wander.
We’ve been working on the new album and planning out our 2012 performances and releases. With that, all I can say is we’re going to release a lot of new material, redesign the website, and revamping live performances. We can’t say much about the new concept/material we’re going to release other than that it’s probably going to be as epic as this:
Also, if you live in the central valley, we’re playing a couple shows in Stockton these two months with a possibility of a couple shows in Union City/Fremont Area. The Plea for Peace Stockton show is a sort of memorial dedicated to Sam Roth who passed away July 4th last year.
So far here are the two already booked shows:
02.11.2012 @ Plea For Peace - Stockton, CA
03.20.2012 @ Bob Hope Theatre - Stockton, CA
Hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
waking wander
Dear Friends,
Last Sunday we watched Anamanaguchi rock out a sold out Slim’s in SF. They we’re gracious enough to sign Ryan’s Nintendo Sweatshirt. A sweatshirt he bought in the 6th grade (around the same time he started listening to Anamanaguchi). Also, I got to meet the drummer from Starscream, a post-rockish chiptune/electro blend of darkness and ski mask awesome. It was definitely one of the most intense dance parties I’ve been to! (The only other contender being Reid Saw A Ghost House show craziness)

I’m sure we’ll have a crazy fun time at our next show with Speak Friend, Esther Moser, Aunt Veavva, The Boom Do-Its, and Multiple Organisms! We’re playing at Odd Fellows Hall-Livermore, CA on November 13th! Below is a link to the event page.

Let’s bring glow sticks and make it just as crazy!

Dear New Friends,
We had the great pleasure of performing with Neon Trees at Cal State East Bay today. We lifted Joe (our bassist) up and started the crowd surfing during Neon Tree’s “Animal”.
After the performance we got to meet them! They’re down to earth, really cool people. Conversation topics ranged from being a touring musician to Lord of the Rings to Tyler (their lead singer) taking his shirt off and running around to win a $5 bet.
We’ll upload more pictures and post a video of our performance soon. Hopefully with your support (buying shirts/CD’s, attending shows, etc) we can record our single and set up more shows like this! Thank you for ditching school to come and watch us at our biggest show to date.
Sincerely,
waking wander
